Recently, we took my mom to see the amazing Bod...
story
A nice way to spend a little time in La Jolla is to swing by the Rec Center (playgrounds, b-ball courts, etc.), then head on over to the Cove and Children's Pool to see some seals, visit the tide pools or to play on the small sandy beach (or even take a swim or go snorkeling), and then grab lunch at Brockton Villa or bring a picnic and eat at Ellen Browning Scripps Park.

July is a busy month in La Jolla, so you should plan ahead for parking...the park and playground shouldn't be too crowded, unless there is a concert or other special event schduled for that day.
