We took our daughter to Turtle Back Zoo figuring it would be a nice day out. We had to pay cash to get in, they do not accept credit cards or debit cards, which I thought was very odd. They didn't have many animals and exhibits. Perhaps because it is a local zoo, I just didn't feel the granduer and excitement of a ZOO.

They had a bunch of lamas, a pair of wolves, a family of turtles, a couple of lions, a pair of bears and a couple of crows. The highlight of the trip was the old fashion train ride that went around a circular perimeter behind the zoo, next to the lake. Without the train, we could have done the entire zoo within twenty minutes. If you're looking for a quick stop somewhere before going for lunch or something, this is a nice pit stop attraction. Personally, I didn't like it but my husband convinced me that for the money we paid (I believe $6.00 per person), it wasn't too bad...and it was a good way to kill of 35 minutes (train ride included).

Honestly, if you got through this zoo in 35 minutes, train ride included, you did NOTHING at this zoo! You certainly did not see any of the animals, which is what you go to a zoo for! This review is pointless.
