My family and I spent this past weekend at the Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos. What an amazing experience. My husband and I are both in our early 30's and we took our children, ages 18 months and 4 years. We had a family suite and were able to request a Pack and Play at no charge. The Lodge is definitely geared toward families, with activities such as storytime, family movie, and crafts offered in addition to the waterpark. Wow. The waterpark. The waterpark is definitely geared more toward older kids / adult kids, but mine still had a blast. The rooms are located a bit of a distance from the waterpark, so make sure that you bring cover-ups / change of clothes for the kiddies (and yourself). Watershoes are also a good thing to bring - for everyone. The towels offered in the waterpark are not the best - you may want to bring your own. Strollers are allowed in the waterpark and throughout the lodge, which is nice. The hours of the waterpark are really nice - it opens around 9 and closes around 10 or so, so there is plenty of time to use the waterpark between naps. The food... We ate one meal at the Bear Claw Cafe - way too expensive and the food was just ok. We had the breakfast and dinner buffets at the Loose Moose Cottage. I found the food to be a little better than average and a little pricey. However, both restaurants were kid-friendly so I guess it kind of compensates for expensive, average food. Here's what I would do if (when!) when go again: Bring lots of snacks and drinks for the family. The rooms have a refrigerator and a microwave, so I would even consider bringing hot dogs or something to save a little $$. Don't forget the utensils and paper plates, too! One last thing - try to get a group of friends or family and go - you'll have an even better time.
