The entire family loves going to the SF zoo. It's large lanes and trails make it easy to bring kids of all ages and the younger ones in strollers. Just be sure to bundle up, it can get pretty cold.

Is it a pretty big zoo, or better for smaller children? Ours in Santa Barbara is great for little ones, but boring once they hit 9 or so. We won't take our little one to the San Diego Zoo until she's a bit older -- too huge and overwhelming.

It's sort of like the three bears...have to find places to take her that are "just right." :)

Are there places to picnic, and have you tried the food there? Pricey or no? So many questions! :) We visit SF often and I'm just curious.

Thanks for posting!
